Refrigeration Equipment
Freezer and refrigeration equipment is necessary to maintain the quality of the food and drinks. There can be different refrigeration units for walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in display cases, ice and beverage machines, and equipment that make soft ice cream, milk shakes or slushes. Values can range from about $1,000 for countertop equipment to more than $10,000 for a walk-in unit. Typically, this equipment has no temperature alarms, no standby equipment, and no excess capacity or excess storage space. Breakdowns often result in business interruption or perishable goods losses.
