Overheated transformer bushing
This transformer experienced a problem internally, which manifested itself as an

Motor bearing lacks lubricant
The bearing on the driving end of this motor was found to be reading 187 degrees F
-- more than 60 degrees F above ambient. The motor was examined and it was discovered that
the lubrication was insufficient. Lubrication was restored, thus preventing the eventual failure of the motor. |
