Walk-in Refrigerator Hospitals use large walk-in refrigerators and other refrigeration equipment to maintain the quality of foodstuffs. Large walk-in refrigerators may cost in excess of $10,000 each. Breakdowns are usually a result of either electrical breakdown of motors, or mechanical parts breaking in the compressor. Breakdown of refrigeration equipment may result in an Extra Expense and/or Perishable Goods loss.
