Electrical Distribution System

If a hotel's electrical system goes down, so can income.

Hotel electrical equipment includes transformers, electrical distribution panels, switchgear and cable or bus structures. Most often damage is from shorting out of wiring or cable / bus structures. Since these systems are inter-connected, a short circuit in one part can spread and damage large sections of the system. A loose connection, a little dust or high humidity can be all it takes.

Rotating electrical equipment, such as ventilation fan motors, can be damaged by electrical power disturbances such as surges, spikes and "brown outs."
