Electronic Cash Register

A convenience store needs a cash register, bar-code readers, inventory computer software and automatic credit card devices to do business. All of this electrical equipment has fragile circuits that are vulnerable to power surges and other electrical disturbances. Some stores use point-of-sale (POS) systems that perform many management functions. That may include tracking inventory and sales information to help make purchasing and staffing decisions based on volume and consumer buying patterns. A basic model electronic cash register with POS system can cost hundreds of dollars.
