The Music Man Leads HSB's 2008 Arts Campaign Each year, HSB finds more creative ways to support the Greater Hartford Arts Council's Workplace Campaigns. We invite representatives from the art and heritage organizations to meet with our employees during campaign week, and sometimes perform. This year our employees enjoyed Manchester High School's Jazz Band, performers from the Hartford Children's Theater, and face painting and balloon-making by Strummy and Cupcake the Clown. Our teacup, silent, and live auctions are always very popular and our employees donate items for these fundraisers, as well as buy tickets to win prizes. Radio personality Brad Davis was once again the auctioneer in the live auction. The campaign ended with a wine and food social, with area restaurants providing tasty treats.
Ken Kahn and Judy Weinstein of the Greater Hartford Arts Council thank President Doug Elliot for HSB's continued support of the campaign.
Radio Personality Brad Davis hosted the live auction and even ended up bidding on, and winning, the Apple I-Phone himself.
Restaurants catering the event included One State Street Cafe's Restaurant Associates, Hot Tomatos, The Hartford Club, and Dish.
Cassie Pepe-Winshell, 11, from Hartford Children's Theater, performs "My New Philosophy," from "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." |
