Computer Systems Coverage
HSB can provide a multi-peril reinsurance coverage for computers and other EDP systems. This program can be customized to complement your existing package product and property forms. This product is designed for business owner accounts and commercial classes of business other than those in the software, systems design and data center industries. Computer systems coverage pays for damage to computers, computerized equipment and media caused by:
- Fire
- Extended perils
- Mechanical breakdown
- Electrical arcing and electrical short circuits
HSB’s computer systems coverage also can be designed to cover:
- Business interruption
- Software and data reconstruction costs
- Extra expense to set up new operations or to rent equipment
- Theft or mysterious disappearance
- Duplicates / backup data and media while stored off site
- Transit/Off Premises equipment while away from an insured location
The Insured must have all of computer equipment attached to an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed and Transient Voltage Surge Suppression “TVSS” inscribed power surge suppression device.
